Privacy Policy

Every tool on karatasi — the PDF editor, converters, merge, split and compress — works directly in your browser. When you open a file, it stays on your device while it's edited or converted. It is never uploaded to our servers, never stored in a database, and never seen by us.

Closing the tab or refreshing the page discards the file completely. There is nothing for us to delete on request, because nothing was ever sent to us in the first place.

Downloading a finished file costs a flat Ksh 10, paid by card or M-Pesa through Paystack. We never see or store your card number, M-Pesa PIN, or other payment credentials — that's handled directly between you and Paystack.

We receive a payment reference, amount and status from Paystack to confirm your download unlocked. That transaction record is retained for accounting and dispute purposes; it does not include the file you were converting.

We collect basic, aggregated traffic data — which pages are visited and roughly how many people use each tool. It's anonymised, cookie-free, and never tied to you individually.

The only third party karatasi shares data with is Paystack, for payment processing. It never receives your files.
